Yet another example of how we are killing ourselves. A study from the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found that many of the leading baby and children’s products contain formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane, both of which are considered probable human carcinogens by the EPA. Thirty-two of 48 products tested and people, I am talking some of the products that we all know so well and grew up with, are potentially killing us. Since I have had all these problems with allergies and rashes and have really paid attention to what is in most of the things we put in and on our bodies, I have truly been amazed. We are quite literally killing ourselves.
Toothpastes, deodorants, shampoos, conditioners, even your breakfast cereal has so many unpronounceable and quite honestly unnecessary ingredients. When I had the skin patch test performed, literally they tested me for chemical compounds and chemicals that I didn’t even know existed, yet were in almost every product that me or my family used on a daily basis in one way or another. People, this is like when people in the 20′s and 30′s were dumping chemicals into the brooks and streams next to the factories that they were working in and living by. Evidently, this is going to bite us all in the bottom. Hopefully, our children are not the ones to bear the brunt of this ignorance.
