Don’t you just love when you receive something unexpected and it’s a good thing? That’s what happened today. We received a really wonderful and totally unexpected thank you note from some new friends. It was sweet, unexpected and made me feel really nice that this person and her family thought so much of a very small gesture on our part, bringing something back to their family on a recent journey back to NJ that she took the time to pen a really sweet thank you.  It’s also nice because I see it as the germination of a new friendship… and that’s always a good thing. It makes me smile.

More snow….we went to bed with the prediction of snow showers possibly and figured we would wake to a dusting. But no….there is about 6 inches of snow out there this afternoon and it is still snowing. Everything which over the weekend was muddy and grey is now winter wonderland white once again!

I really am not a fan of DST today. This morning it was HORRIFIC to wake up in what appeared to be the middle of the night to get everyone out of bed for school. I was just enjoying the daylight in the mornings and bam…..DST. ARGHH- not a big fan, right now, I don’t care that it’s still daylight at 7 p.m. – if you looked out the window this morning you’d realize that its still winter here in Vermont, so daylight is not all that important at 7 here.
