Dawn breaking over the hill this morning.
I really hate waking up in the dark. Soon, when the clocks go back, it will be even darker (if that is possible) in the morning when I have to get up. There really is something more difficult about prying yourself out of bed when it is something akin to the middle of the night.
But, since I am trying to not complain these days and look to the bright side, here it is.
When you are up while it is still pitch black out, you do have the opportunity–each and every day- to watch the sun rise over the mountains. Now, that in and of itself, is a good reason to pry yourself out of bed in the darkness, don’t you think ?

It’s nice that the days are getting longer and brighter. Here are some pictures of the sunrise this morning … which was just beautiful. I just wish the sun got up before I did.

We had a great time in Boston. Due to bus problems we were only able to do 50 maximum for the ride back and that turned a 3 – 3 1/2 hour trip into a 5 hour trip with a couple stops to re-boot the bus evidently. Blue Man Group show was terrific but we were not allowed to take pictures. I think it was one of the highlights of the trip for the kids. We arrived back at the school at 2 a.m. and by the time we unloaded and got home it was more like 2:30-ish this morning. Everyone seems no worse for the wear.
