One learns valuable life lessons as she proceeds through life. There is a time to voice one’s opinion and there is a time to hold one’s tongue. Through the years I have learned this in differing capacities but I have never had to do it with those closest to me. I thought that somehow those closest to us accepted us with our flaws and knew that there were differences of opinion occasionally and that was okay. I have learned otherwise. Evidently differences of opinions can shatter worlds and make things difficult when they shouldn’t and need not be. Sometimes these lessons come free of charge and sometimes there is a cost. Today there is a cost. Today I have to rectify stating my opinion about something. Evidently that information got misconstrued and now I have to try to straighten things out. Easier to hold my tongue next time. And so I shall.

Uncle Lou
You should never hold your tongue, if you have something important to say say it, voice your opinion. Your opinion holds as much value as anybody else’s, if it was misconstrued, then you should properly explain it but you should not retract it. Those closest to you know you and will understand your feelings and opinions. Retracting opinions ans holding your tongue causes stress to build and creates resentment which could eventually poision a relationship.
If you don’t want me visiting ever again or cooking at your house tell me I can handle it. Please don’t tell me you don’t want me sharpening your knives any more I can’t handle that. Boo Hooo

Ah Louis, the fault does not lie with you. Let’s just say it’s Laws trouble as in the “in”. Me thinks that I got in the middle of something and caused trouble. For that I will pay dearly evidently. I love that you sharpen my knives and cooking and visiting are wonderful always.
