before I leave – in the event that I don’t return – or worse in the eyes of some – that I have computer problems and cannot log in – the horror of it. I am typing this at 3:57 a.m. as I wait for our friend who is driving us to Albany to the airport. We are off on an adventure to Iowa – me with about 4 hours of sleep and not all that good if I do say so myself.
It is 30 degrees right now and we had to cover EVERYTHING last night because we had a freeze alert. A freeze, the day after Memorial Day, can you imagine that?! We really do live in the frozen North.
Lots was done and Tom did keep me busy to not obsess with everything until I got inside. Think we remembered everything. Hope so, too late now. Hopefully I will be posting from the road.

Uncle Lou
You seriously need to de-stress and relax. We will have to spend some time talking on my next visit. To start with, the title was correct, it is just a blog, it is not the Declaration of Independence, the Magna Carta, or the dead sea scrolls. It is just a blog and it will be there when you return.
Once you get above 4000 feet sudden frost and other cold weather anomalies are common. When I was younger and staying at a boy scout camp in the Adirondacks (now closed) above 4000 feet, we got a hard frost and snow flurries in the end of August / Beginning of Sept. Which was really shocking for a city boy who only packed shorts…
Please Enjoy the trip, it is a little adventure you are taking with your son that you will only take once, make it fun, exciting, and enjoyable for both of you. He will be stressing enough about the presentation, so you need not to stress. When I was traveling all over and making presentations to customers 5 /6 times a week all over the globe, I couldn’t stress over the travel, the presentations were going to be stressful enough, so I just convinced myself of the following. It was pretty easy since it is true.
The trip will be fine, no matter what, I will always get home, late, early, or in a different mode of transportation than I left in, it doesn’t matter.
If I forget or need something on the road, it can be replaced, there are stores everywhere, and I carry a credit card.
If I forgot to do something at home before I left, it will be waiting for me when I get back. If it is really important, somebody else will do it for me, without me telling them to do it.
Life is not a test (Thank God), it is a journey, So enjoy the ride.
Safe Home
