Spring snow is so weird. It is very, very wet and somehow has a completely different set of characteristics from winter snow, which is light and fluffy. Winter snow takes a while to melt and will stick around pretty much forever as long as the weather remains cold. Spring snow seems to melt as it is falling. Our driveway is a slushy, red mess – we have red stone which makes this spring snow look as if someone were murdered in our front yard – and short of thinking about killing a kid when they are being mercilessly uncooperative, no murders going on around here.
The 6 inches of snow we got during the evening Sunday and Monday morning are fading fast, although everything had a crunch to it this morning. I think it is supposed to go down to 5 tonight so tomorrow will require ice skates.
